Production company Crazy Pictures got the idea from the existing association “UFO Sweden” that investigates mysterious phenomena and manages the world’s largest UFO archive - Archives for the Unexplained in Sweden. The film is visually related to the famous film E.T. (1982) and it's thematically close to the films such are Interstellar (2014) and Contact (1997).
