Starý Jeffrey Roundhill přiznává až na smrtelné posteli, že asi před osmi lety zabil svou ženu Evelyn. Také prozradí detektivu Murdochovi, kde může nalézt její ostatky. Dr. Graceová později potvrzuje, že zakopaná kostra patří paní Roundhillové. Způsob, jakým zemřela, však neodpovídá Roundhillovu prohlášení.
