Ve starém skladu je nalezen zastřelený námořník. Na místě činu je objeveno devítimístné číslo napsané krví. Je to Gibbsovo služební číslo z doby, kdy byl ještě námořní odstřelovač. Pozve si proto svého bývalého mentora a přítele Frankse, aby mu s případem pomohl. Je přesvědčený, že nějak souvisí s jeho osmnáct let starou misí v Kolumbii a s tajemnou ženou jménem Rose. Franks mu prozradí, že před lety pomohl Rose dostat se do Států. Když se ji ale pokusí vyhledat, zjistí, že před deseti lety zemřela na rakovinu. Gibbs se až nyní dozvídá, že měla syna, který se v osmnácti letech přihlásil k námořnictvu. Když Abby najde na místě činu jeho krev, stává se Tomas hlavním podezřelým.(TV Nova)
