Pan Burns vzpomíná, jak kdysi dávno pořádal velkolepé večírky, které byly vyhlášené široko daleko. Smithers navrhne, aby uspořádal další a zažil to znovu. Pan Burns souhlasí, ale protože se z něj stal zestárlý škrt a snaží co nejvíce ušetřit, večírek je naprostou společenskou katastrofou.
