Náhodná svedkyňa nahlási na polícii vraždu námorníka, ktorú videla v okne vedľajšieho domu. Policajti nič na mieste údajného činu nenájdu a vzdávajú sa vyšetrovania. Na základe toho pošle Gibbs McGeeho, aby sa porozprával so svedkyňou. Problém je v tom, že v čase údajnej vraždy bola opitá a nakrútený záznam je bezcenný, pretože začala nahrávať až potom, keď už v okne nebolo nič vidieť. McGee jej napriek tomu verí a s tímom NCIS idú na miesto činu. Agenti zisťujú, že muž mal dvojitú identitu. Keď sa onedlho nájde aj mŕtve telo námorníka, jej slová sa potvrdia. Teraz sa však v ohrození ocitá aj samotná svedkyňa...(TV Markíza)
